The geologists and hydrogeologists at RIZZO apply cutting edge technology and over 25 years of experience to our Geotechnical Services.  Exposure to a wide variety of site conditions has provided our engineers and scientists with knowledge and innovative solutions gained from hands on experience.

A typical geotechnical investigation begins with a literature review and evaluation to determine if any exclusionary criteria exist for the specified facility.  Geologists then complete a field investigation, including topographic, geologic mapping, and a subsurface characterization study.  Piezometers and monitoring wells are used to monitor the safety of ground water conditions while instrumentation systems investigate any structural movements.  To complete the investigation, our team performs soil structure interaction analysis: a crucial element in any geotechnical study.

RIZZO’s Geotechnical Engineering reaches all corners of the world and strives to stay at the forefront of the civil engineering field.
