Turkey Point NPPRIZZO conducted a supplemental field investigation at the Turkey Point NPP Units 6&7 Site. The main purpose of the supplemental field investigation was to provide additional in-situ and laboratory data to support the RAI responses for FSAR Section 2.5
Lake LivingstonRIZZO served as the Owner’s Engineer at the Lake Livingston Dam in Texas. Responsibilities included being the full time on-site Resident Engineer, management of the independent materials testing laboratory, construction inspection, and day-to-day coordination with the prime contractor on issues related to construction.
Escondida MineRIZZO performed a geophysical and geotechnical field investigation for the construction of a new 36,000 ton crusher station and associated structures at the Escondida Mine in Antofagasta Region, Chile.
Middle East GeohazardsRIZZO developed a regional scale 3D subsurface geotechnical and hydrogeological model for an arid shoreline environment with karstic features. RIZZO also inspected buildings and infrastructure that were damaged due to ground subsidence and settlement and developed an integrated geohazard map highlighting regions susceptible to damage due to presence of unengineered fill, soluble subsurface evaporite layers, solution cavities and sabkha sequences.
North Shore ConnectorRIZZOÂ worked as a sub-consultant to both GEOCOMP Corporation and North Shore Constructors to monitor existing facilities and report results to the Owner for the North Shore Connector. This project extended Pittsburgh Port Authority’s Light Rail Transit System, the “T,” 1.2 miles in twin bored tunnels below the Allegheny River.
Taum Sauk Upper Reservoir RebuildRIZZO acted as the Engineer of Record and Construction Manager for the $402 Million Rebuild, which involved the placement of 2.8 million cubic yards of Roller Compacted Concrete and 300,000 cubic yards of conventional concrete.

Stevenson and Associates (S&A) was established in 1981 by Dr. John D. Stevenson as a consulting engineering firm based out of Cleveland, Ohio. Since 1990 S&A has been active in developing consulting engineering services in Central and Eastern Europe. Rizzo Czech was established in 1992 and has been a member of RIZZO Associates since 2000. In 2001 the procedure GIP VVER was reported to IAEA as the indirect method for evaluation of seismic adequacy for equipment installed on VVER-type nuclear power plants. Since 2003 the method is among practices approved and recommended by IAEA.Since 2006 the firm has partnered with the Czech Army Research Technical Institute (VOP CZ, s.p., Vyškov, Czech Republic ) and is actively providing tests on biaxial seismic testing tables.
